But helped make it a special event for me.  There is one more guy I got to thank for making the LBL special and I already owe him more than I can ever repay .  I was sitting at the drawings Saturday night, minding my own business when they said they had a special presentation.  Well my name was called and it seemed some turkey named Hawks Feather had made a special pen for a Canadian and when I went up to make my speach I found it impossible to do with a watermelon in my throat.  Jerry had made me this most wonderful pen to give to me at the LBL.

  Then just to make things even more weighted in his favor I had the great fortune to have my name pulled for a hat he had donated as well .  My wife will be the first to tell you that I won't walk up and receive a hat from a drawing up here where I live as they all want me to advertise something I don't believe in.  I ran up to get this one cause I saw it earlier in Reggies cabin and said "I want that hat".

  Thank you Mr. Latta for once again proving you are a man among men with a way of doing things that I wish everyone in the world would aspire too.  The pen is beautiful and has it's place of honor in my home and the wife likes her new hat.

I am sorry that I wasn't there to give you the pen in person, but we will probably meet up in time.  As for the pen it is just a little something from Jim and the rest of the moderators at FnF for all you do to keep us in line.  With the Olympics going on right now I am seeing the red and white with the maple leaf pretty often.  Enjoy it.

Jerry is a heck of a guy without a doubt. He has always given to the LBL hunt and does a little something extra for someone. Barry that pen is awesome and you surely deserve something extra for like Jerry said “ you do keep us in line”.

It is sometimes hard for me to talk to Jerry with him being a school principle. I get the urge to fib and hide my cigarettes when he is around. One time I skipped work and he almost caught me here browsing FnF when I was supposed to be in bed sick, but I logged out real quick so maybe not.
