I found a fella that bought some stuff in a BIG batch at an auction.......he was keeping what he wanted and throwing the rest out.......

So when he threw this to the trash side I said......your throwing this out??! He said yup.....dont know what it is and I dont care.... I said its a tool post grinder!! he said then take it its yours...... I dont grind any posts......

Now I am trying to Identify what brand it is as it is important that I tell who ever I sell it to.....

For those of ya wondering it is for a metal lathe........
I dont see a brand on the grinder...... only on the motor...... Kinda looks like a South Bend?  Acme? I wish I could figure it out......   Yotehunter Do you know?     Or anyone?

I want to say it is a Acme but the guard isnt right for an Acme

I think it may be a Bridgeport after looking at the guard for a bit.

I don't have any idea of the "brand"... but then who cares?  A tool post is a tool post eh?  I'd think you could list it on e-bay and sell her pretty quick.

5 Shots: I have no Idea right yet.....they range from $200 -  $1500 depending on what ya have......and I aint sure what I have yet.

Bridgeport?   Slag why ya thinking that?  Do ya have a pic of one?

Jimbo: I brought home a Bunch of stuff from there today.....electric eyes still in the box, they had some 200AMP capacitors new but I was afraid to bother with those as they were open and I did no know if they were live or not.

And a computer GEEK heaven ....... I just did not know what most of it was so I left it there...... a lot of it was marked as Prototype motherboards and such from about 1991 so I figured it was out of date now anyway. Going back for more today. 

She runs great! and it fits my BIL's lathe....... + we just picked up a milling machine...... 
Looking for tooling now......   I been fabricating all weekend and it feels good for a change! I just hope we can make a living at it! 

Jimbo, some guys want this old stuff BAD, I will have one someday, but right now I will sell this one to help pay the bills.   I dont Grind posts....

it is just the guard that is making me say Bridgeport. I am not real sure. I will do some research and see what I can figure out.
