They're starting to hit at the river, my brother got this one.  I've yet to hook onto one of these monsters.  They do get bigger than this, I didnt get the measurements.

Wow, he must of made a pile of casts eh.   Nice fish right there and once again I'm surprised they are in a river .  I also have noit caught one but hope to end that drought some day.

I have caught those rascals in Lake of the Woods but to hook him in a stream is a kick.  I'll bet brother got a thrill there. Kudos to him.

got the details now, 38 inches on a super spook topwater, 2hrs into the fishing.  Hit like a bass about a 10 minute fight.

Yeah they get a lot bigger then that. Some on up to 6 foot.

Looks like that one was chased across the ground for a while once he was landed.

How is the smallmouth fishing there?

smallie fishing is great up here, usually get some pretty decent ones.
