Got out for a couple stands today
Jimmie calls me at noon thats what time he was suppose to be there tells me the time change messed him up and he forgot to set his clocks ahead  2 O'clock he shows up,no problem we got time for a couple stands
Our first stand

A power line cut
While looking this over a bit.My first thought was a shooter on each side watching the first valley.The wind was coming straight up out of the valley,I then turned to my left and seen a small road coming out of the woods and in my past sets I knew that was a great place to get busted from.I talked it over with Blackfish and he decided he would go set up over there and watch the bottom of that  valley from sitting in the woods good Idea.I set in the high weeds watching the wood line on both sides of the power line cut and do the calling from there.
After about a 1/2 an hour on stand I hear a whistle come from where the truck was parked,so i go up to the truck to find Blackfish standing up there shaking his head saying I messed up.
I seen one coming in but the woods was thick so I started fumbling with my bino's the kids had them last the string was all in a knot I must have been moving around to much cause the next move was a 180 and he was gone Win some loose some 

2nd stand

Showed us nothing
it was a good day though

If he showed up at 2:00 and said the time change screwed him up, that means he had his alarm set for something like Noon!

Looks like a fairly promising area though. I woulda avoided those open areas and went into the woods

Non the less, you got out there and I was stuck putting in counter tops for a friend.

  Nice looking stands Bill.. Definitely looked like there would have been a coyote in them there hills for sure.

The reason I chose to set up like that on the first stand The woods are so thick ya can barely see through them
I was hidden pretty good in those weeds while I was calling and hoping that I could call something to edge of the woods to check up and present itself for a shot
The road I didn't take a pic of That Jimmie walked down went to an old graveyard he found a deer path and set up just off that  and, had one good shooting lane and the coyote was coming towards him but well any ways we had a good time
