It appears that the fire done nothing to dimish the rattle snake population.  However we haven't seen any since we got back.  Now with the rains it seems they are everywhere.  I normally don't wear my hearingaids when I out in the yard but I did hear my wife yell "STOP".  Wondering what I had done wrong I turned and looked at her.  She pointed off to my right, about 3 feet away was little little guy just rattling up a storm - which I never heard.

That one doesn't look too "little" to me!  You need to strap a six shooter with bird shot in it to your side when you go on jaunts outdoors.
