Any tips on shed hunting for blacktails?

I am thinking about going shed hunting this week. Any tips?

My only tip would be to NOT put it off. Wait too long and the squirrels get to chewing em up.
There's a guy down here that trained his dog to find sheds. It's the craziest thing.
