Boy did I find them today

I managed to be on the river by 6:00 this morning. Man was it beautiful down there.
It felt like I was the only person on earth as I pulled into one of my honey holes and was completely overcome with the tranquility of the whispering, yet highly potential scene. I cannot think of a single better way in the entire world to spend a morning breaking in the day. Not a one 

Which also presented me with an opportunity to capture it and make it my new desktop.



I ended up with 24 bass, and 3 pike. By 9 AM things really began to slow down. It sure was a blast while it lasted. I texted the girls and told them, "IT was on!. Now they are scrambling to make it down next weekend.
95% of the females I caught still had eggs in them, so hopefully if they come down next weekend they'll get in on some of the action.

Wow that's awesome. I have never caught a bass before but have heard they are fun to fish for.

That's a lot of fish catching, and at a perfect time of day.  You hit it right on (and you must have some idea of what you're doing!)

Looks like some fun, but I am sure next weekend will be better if the girls go along to show you how to catch the really big ones.   

I do have one question - Have you gone wimpy on us?  Brave enough to stick your thumb in a bass mouth, but not a pike.  Come on Jimbo, MAN up.      After all you do have a thumb on your other hand so why do you need two that work at the same time?
