Loaded up a few rounds Sunday and for some reason took a few pictures while doing it. I was reading Jim’s post under “Very tight bolt cycling” and it turned into some reloading stuff and thought I would use the pictures to make a post on some of the things I do when reloading.

Richard, Have you considered using A Sonic cleaner for the Brass, I bought one several months ago and very impressed with how well it cleans the inside of the Brass, I will post some pictures of an experiment I run on some very dirty Brass a couple of weeks ago. CC

Here are some pictures I made of .223 Brass that I was experimenting with to check out the Sonic Cleaner and then Tumbling as the outside of the Brass was clean but not real shiny but again this was super dirty Brass, No hand cleaning or brushing was done.

I did run the Sonic cleaner and Tumbler longer than normal on this Brass, I have seen where some guys have achieved bright shiney with just the Sonic Cleaner but so far all that I have cleaned I tumbled. My main purpose was to clean the ID and primer pocket with the Sonic  and as you can see it does a very good job. CC

This is the link for Sonic cleaning that I used, I bought my UltraSonic machine from Harbor Freight for less than $50.00, can't remember exactly what I paid  but they put them on sale from time to time. cc
