That's a pretty catchy team name huh. Anyway first hunt of the year with Carolina Coyote and myself.

We didn't get left until about 9:30 this morning, I had to do one of those Dad has got to be at school to meet the principal meetings this morning. So we got a late start. We made it to the first farm and called 3 excellent stands with no takers.

Then we proceeded to another farm that I seem to always have pretty good luck on. Made the first stand and nothing showed. Second stand and all we called in was a horse. We moved about 200 yards to another stand and I noticed where a coyote had scratched in the middle of this road. The dirt wasn't even dried out yet, so I had a feeling there was a coyote close by. On this particular stand, I have called up several coyotes in the past. Anyway I went on down the road about 30 yards and setup to call. Started the stand out with some crack pipe rabbit, and then about 3 minutes in I went to distress pup. It didn't take much of that to get the ole coyote up and moving. About that time I hear CC's .243 sound off and 99% of the time when you hear that, it means fur down. This time was no difference.

Took us 6 stands to get one but we finally made it happen.

Here is one of the dynamic duo; Team Hole In One.

So the one laying on the ground with a hole in it is part of your team?  Seems like you might have some dragging to do to keep it on the team.   :innocentwhistle:

Looks like you had a good time.

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.
