its cold

I am back at work in West Yellowstone, and its cold! 13 degrees and falling calling for -4 tonight. I live in a 5th wheel when I am here and the furnace is kicking on about every 10 minutes. I can not wait until fire season. Snow is about three feet deep but to cold to enjoy my snow mobile.

But any wind at all dont help the situation when your in a trailer of any kind.
30 degrees here today and I wished I woulda wore shorts to work.

It's cold here too. Been running high 50's to high 60's days and low to mid 40's nights with no wind. Brrrrrr! And to think I lived near half my life in the Rockies not too far from YNP (and played around YNP most of it, family cabins, etc - worked there as a teen). 3' of snow isn't much snow compared to what was normal most winters.

Around here "snow" is sold (as well as all the other drugs).

Two years ago I came to West Yellowstone on a house hunting trip, called the realtor and went looking for houses. All I could see for two days was the peaks of the houses. 12 feet of snow in five days.

This is my Polaris RMK 700. It goes a lot faster than I want it to, had it up to about 65 with plenty of throttle left over.

I'm getting everything ready, tuning chainsaws sharping chain, getting the trucks in order, and trying to hire a few people for the up coming season. But our budget was cut drastically, and after I made contact with the new prospects for the job(three vets) I was told its on hold. So the new slogan is do more with less. That will be interesting once the fires start.

I was just talking a guy working at the IMAX theater today asking if they have ever shown Yellowstone here. He said they never had, glad I got to see it in W Yellowstone, sure miss the camping there in . Also got some good fly fishing tips from one of the outfitters in W Y. Our group was there for over three hours for a free on hands clinic.
We always camp at the Norris campground.

Yotefever, I have gone to the imax theater about three times and watched Yellowstone and the Lewis&Clark movie. Both are great shows. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to live and work. Seen a few grizzly up close while fishing, decided that was enough fishing for the day.

Snowed a little more this morning about an inch. Not quite as cold as the night before.

Last year I shoveled the walk way, but it is dirt underneath. Ended up tracking mud in so now I just take my shoes off once I get in the door.

I would sure like to take the granddaughter out there, we were there in 95, 97 and 99 with the kids and all of us loved the park. I could spend every vacation there. (the Black Hills were great too)
