Varmints Inc. Turkey Diaphragm Calls

Turkey season is here. Been building a few mouth calls and thought Id offer some up here.

Anyways, heres a few different styles I make. I have a bunch of different stuff, but will just post a few for now. If you have an idea of something you want just holler, I may be able to build it for you.

All calls are 5 bucks each+ shipping. Orders 15 bucks and over ship for free. Paypal check mo or credit card, it all works for me.(hey that rhymes!)
These are all 3 reed calls and all feature thin tape and a medium stretch.

All of my calls are hand stretched, hand built, one at a time here in my shop.


3 reed, heavy yellow  top reed over 2 thin natural latex bottom reeds, with a V- cut.  Great medium raspy yelps. Great clucks, cuts kees and purrs.




Next, a 3 reed ghost cut. Red over 2 thin latex. Real clean yelps with  some rasp at the end. Super easy kee kees, great clucks purrs etc.



3 reed, smoke over 2 natural latex. Clipped V-cut. Great yelps with a raspy finish. Great kee kees clucks cuts puts an purrs.



Same build, but with a proph bottom reed. Great, easy to get, high front end yelp with a raspy rollover. Fast yelps, cuts, great cackles, clucks and purrs. Great kee kees.




Grey over thin latex, offset V-cut.  Great raspy yelps, good clucks, cuts cackles kees etc.  You can  really lean on this call, Good loud raspy call.

Nice work Mark, and one helluva price. 
I cant use diaphragm calls. The tickle they give me on the roof of my mouth makes my hair stand on end.

Not intending to side track Mark's post here but he also makes some mighty fine "predator" diaphragms.

If you know how to use these types of mouth calls they should do well for you. I know the "Straight Razor" predator works as advertised. The ones I have bought from Mark are as good or better quality as any on the market today, plus they are custom made right here in the good ol' USA.

I always wanted to use a diaphragm call but was never able to make a sound out of it that sounded like it was supposed too.
