PA Buck Season

Here are a few pics from our recent deer hunt in upstate PA. 
We started out small gaming on Friday and Saturday.



As you can see, we eat pretty good!



Monday after thanksgiving is our opener.
We had 13 buck tags in camp (10 from our camp and 3 locals).  I don't have many pics, but did manage a few.

I sat with Dante as PA law dictates I must (I like that law!).  He made a heck of a shot and tagged this 5 point.  I've been trying to get him on here to post his story, but he's been under the weather for a bit.





We ended up with a 9 point, four 8 pts, two 7's, a 6 and Dante's 5 pt.  This is one of our best years up there. 
We are also allowed to hunt black bear during the first week in our wildlife unit, and there were a few around.
Here's the track of one that crossed 1/2mile above our camp and went by three of our hunters (HuntnCarve being one of them), but they all passed as it was under 100 lbs.

That rabbit must be MUCH larger than it seems.  After all look at the ribs you got from it. 

The hunt looks like everyone had a good time and did a good job of filling tags.  Good job Dante.

Way to go Dante !!  Nice buck !  Congrats to all the lucky hunters.  Don't believe I could have passed on that bear. 100 lb pound bear eats good, and they will kill a lot of your deer in the future.
