Couple of Cooper's

We've had a small family of Cooper's hawks nearby for the last couple of years, and this year they have begun hunting close to the house. The juveniles have been catching bugs in the back yard.

Nice pics - I was looking for the tethers thinking you were out with a falconer.

The hawks were talking this evening just before dusk, and caught this guy having a stretch just before bed.

Mannnn that is so cool that you got them holed up that close to you. I would be watching them like hawks.
