Pr of coyotes 1/2 mile away. I watched one of them clean out their den hole. Then they moved on.

Earliest I've seen coyote den cleaning was December 18th. New camera 60x optical zoom. Me likey

Can't edit... so here goes. I'm a believer coyotes don't scatter/disperse their yearlings or clean out their old den site. Unless the female is in heat or is already bred.

Great pics.  How in the world did you hold a 60 power zoom steady enough to get such clear pics?  Tripod?

I rested the camera on the window edge. I took a lot of pics on auto focus. The ones that turned out decent. I sharpened them up a bit on photobucket.

Great pictures, Snafu.  I can see why you "Likey" that camera/lens.   There are a few whelping dens in my country where I have seen that behavior out of a mating pair.

The corner post, where the two fence lines meet. Is the 1/2 mile marker.

If I recall the top pic is 60x optical. Bottom pic is 60x optical + 60 digital for 120x
