It makes it real how many died over there. I've been to the real wall with my oldest brother whose a vietvet, sobering experience.

I have been to the real wall and i want to see the traveling wall. the big one was incredably moving and my dad said the mobil wall was a humbeling experence as well.

Two of my Bro's served over there. Marine Corps Infantry & Army Recon. Fortunately they both made it back. I was going to enlist, but they talked me out of it.

I did two tours of duty in DC, could never bring myself to go see it.  Too many names on it that would bring back some very bad memories.  Slag, I hope and pray the same thing.  It appears that we never learn from the past, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan all a waste of good young Americans. 
When they come for mine they better bring theirs
