thumped

White face got thumped this am. My friends contacted me again not long ago. Told me the local coyotes were back after their old dog. So on my 9th stand this am. He finally stepped out onto the open shooting lane. He took a rd to the chest. I believe I thumped him in the rump as he ran over the far hill. He was not running to well 

I looked for a blood trail, but didn't find one. I'm pretty sure he was dead on the 1st hit but didn't know it right then.

Last Summer.


1st hit he mustered up some speed as he went over the ridge down into some steep ravines along the river. He bucked then bolted right when I had my crosshairs on his mid chest broadside. Last shot his tail flew straight up. So I suspect he took a rd in the rump. I searched the upper areas for blood, couldn't find any. I wasn't about to climb down the steep ravines. They were around 75 degree grade. I'm old ya know

Oh man! I would love to see his face close up. Hope you do get a chance to find him, but hey ya know what they say. Getting old sucks!
