Katie helped me harvest gills this morning to pay for the morels. We did a lot better then I expected. 25 mixed gills n crappies in 2 1/2 hours.

Yah I was impressed with the size of these things, myself. Usually your struggling to catch something big enough to scrape a little meat off. It gets to the point that if you get enough mayyyybe you can make it worth it. There was none of that here. I told Katie, I seriously cannot remember the last time I caught that many Bluegills this big. I was pretty young.

It was pretty cool Jerry. I sure didnt expect her to last as long as she did, with the baby setting on the bank in her stroller with us and everything. But everything went muuuuch better then expected and Katie got a long needed fishing fix she sure wasnt expecting lol

That's a humdinger of a mess of fish, and you are blessed to have a daughter tight enough to your heart to want to fish with Dad!   You will have tales retold at many future family gatherings of the great bunch of bluegills the two of you caught with the little one along.  That day is marked in your memories.
