Slate call

Made myself a cherry slate call with a cherry striker. I like the striker design but it leaves a lot to be deisired for sound. I'll use my hickory striker on this one. It sounds good. The striker is short because the woodstarted to split on the head. I lost 1 1/4" off of it.

And again. I wanted to do something nice for the striker so I came up with the finial idea. If I copied anybody I'm Sorry. I have a walnut call & striker drying right now too. That one might be for sale. :wo:

Looks OK to me......I never made one....not really a turkey hunter...so I don't know much about 'em....but if you like it, that's really about all that matters....go kill one!!!  :bowingsmilie:
