Any opinions out there to a really good replacement trigger ? I've got a rifle basix LV-1 on a Remmington 243 and iIlike it althought it is pretty hairy at 1.5 lbs. I am looking to get something for the 22-250 remmy.

I put a Timney in my MarkII...and I think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Jewell.  They are not cheap, but they are VERY nice.  Pretty easy to install and also the adjustments are very easy.  The only thing that I see wrong with a 1.5 pound trigger is that it is a little on the heavy side.  With the Jewell you will be able to drop that down to a much more respectable weight - about a half pound.  I used to shoot benchrest and got real used to the 2 oz trigger.  Now, anthing over a couple of pounds and I am pulling like I am in a tug of war.

The Rifle Basix LV-1 ranges from 8 ounces to 1.5 lbs.  Do you shoot the light trigger when you hunt coyotes?

I have a Jewell on my Armalite and love it.  I have Jewells on most of  the Remingtons as well.  As for hunting, it depends on the weather.  I have a Ruger 223 All-Weather that I had the trigger worked on so it is about 3 pounds and it goes out if I have thick gloves on.  I shoot far more groundhogs than anything else.  There it is sit, wait, get on target, flip off safety, get close to trigger, and watch the hog go flop.
