I say what I think not think what I say.

I never wore a helmet for skiing when I was a kid ..... Maybe that explains a lot of things  :innocentwhistle:

pitw,  I know being handy around the farm you  will appreciate this. When I was a kid growing up dirt poor in the mountains of Vermont the first set of skis I  ever owned was when I split a cedar fence post in half lengthwise carved it out into a ski shape smoothed it up with a draw knife and  got a candle from my mother because we didn't have any electricity and waxed them up with it and then used bailing twine for the harnesses on it and cut a couple maple saplings for my poles.

They worked pretty good for cross country skiing chasing the beagles, but not so much for downhill skiing 👍

So you are a custom ski maker.  Just something to add to your resume.

Nasty, appreciate the story and it brings back memory's of stuff we did.  The plastic parachute and barn I didn't need to remember :doh2:.

The plastic parachute and barn sounds like a story that needs to be told  :innocentwhistle:

Inquiring minds want to know more.  Pictures of the aftermath would even be better.

Scars, hospital bills, etc..... :yoyo:

Winter is on it's last leg. It has been staying in the 30s and 40s occasionally the 50s and twice around 60 Monday is supposed to be 53°. It has been a fairly mild winter it poured rain in January and February kind of weird weather.  But there still a lot of snow up in the higher elevations.

The fish cops put out to everyone to take their birdfeeders in early this year because with the low snow cover and moderate temperatures the Bears are already out of their dens foraging around.

They don't want you feeding the bears?  Those cute little cuddly bears deserve a treat just like the birds.   :innocentwhistle:

There is nothing they like better than a birdfeeder and they do not go gentle on them when they grab whole of them ha ha.  Then of course that angers the flatlanders who have moved from the city up into the country and they call the authorities demanding justice be dealt to the naughty bear!
