Seen my first Coyote pup today. Ran across the road in front of me comming home from Turkey hunting. Little feller for sure! I stopped the truck to see if moma was close no sign so I go over to the edge of the woods and there it was looking at me, it takes off down the hill and holds up in a wood pile. Never did find it when it got inside the wood pile?

Also seen my first Red Fox pup this AM as well. It was walking right beside Rt 7 on my way out to hunt. And dad was out to the farm this eve and stopped to see if he could hear some birds fly up for me and right at dark he was headed back home and someone had just hit a small coyote pup in the road.

They must be getting out of the dens some now. I had a guy at work this eve say he seen one yesterday beside the road as well.

To bad you aren't as fast as Ragncajun was with that rattler in AZ, you coulda caught it and kept it for a pet...suppose a coyote would make a good tolling dog?? :shck:

By the way..how are the birds acting down your way?  They are still henned up horribly here :holdon: :madd: :argh: :pout:  :shck: :rolleye: :iroll: :noway:

My wife spotted two dead pups on the road said they looked to be around 2 to 3 months old. I seen one dead in the road last Sunday looked to be around 3 months old. That would have them being born in early Feb. I have been getting calls from farmers here this week saying they are seeing them and hearing them a lot lately.

year before last the week after LBL I seen a pup out by it self. I think the abundance of food here in the east may have changed there breeding some plus we have mild winters in the south.

Ya, I couldn't run him down. He disappeared in that wood pile, and I wasn't real happy with running may hands all around in there. Its been 85 deg here and I have killed 3 snakes already!....lol

Birds are wide open here right now. Allot of the hens are setting now, and allot of lone birds to get fired up. Best hunting has been from 7:30 till 9:00 am then again from 10:30 till 12:00. Right off the roost they been tough but soon after they realize there hens are gone there fired up.

Had a two year old bird try and run me over this morning! He was shot at about 6 yards....lol Run right threw the camera frame and I couldn't keep on him....lol

There were also 7 birds togeather in that group.
