Its a private man made lake  split in 2 by a road right through the middle of it. Has some enormous bass in it, no motor is allowed electric or gas.

If you look at that bass closely it is a hybrid between a largemouth and a smallmouth. Pretty common in there.

No beds yet, still having some chilly weather. Powerbait 4 inch black worm with a Gamakatsu worm hook, no weight. I was casting out and letting it sit then bringing it in a foot at a time.

He followed it in till it was about 2 feet from the shoreline and when I paused it he inhaled it. I briefly hooked another one and lost him and that was about it still pretty slow.  I can tell you one thing that was biting real good and that was the blackflies!

Using an Ugly Stik with  a Zebco Bullet reel.
