I can fully understand where this could be startling. Because these little babies have great big mommas that will protect them. Well that one looks full grown and it's momma is probably already a coon-skin hat somewhere so maybe she didn't have to worry.

We call woodchucks Ground Grizzlies, trying to compete with Alaska   I will tell you one thing I grew up coon hunting with hounds and them little suckers are ferocious and they can scrap! We had a pet raccoon when we were kids who was fine until he grew up and  one day Savaged my mothers hen house, that was the end of him.
