Salmon for the year

Our years supply of salmon (Sockeye) from the Copper River, 125 in 1 1/2 hours. Wife wanted a new driveway post made from couple of antler sets that were laying around.

what method are you using to harvest the salmon? That post looks amazing!

We use dipnets on the Copper River, it is a Personal Use fishery for residents of Alaska. Number of fish you can keep is determined by household size. You can dipnet from the shore, usually tied off or from a boat, boat is far more efficient but either way is dangerous. Death from drowning happen frequently.
