Jim,  The story is true.  Revolver was a Dan Wesson with a 6 or 7 inch barrel. Bullets were striking the coyote in the head and more or less just ricochetting off by following the slope of the skull.

Edited to add......I was unaware that I had a reputation for telling bogus stories?

No, no  :nono:  Don't get me wrong. You have actually quite the opposite reputation.
I was just awwed by the story, and didn't want to feel like a moron if you were jackin with someone and I got caught in the middle believing it.

Man, that woulda been some wild footage though.

Lost a cap once to a coyote in a trap trying to get a picture  :shck: We don't get near that close to a live one no more .  It hangs in the gargae today even to remind this fool . All I got a picture of was belly fur too . They may act all timid when in a trap but don't trust them .

Almost forgot to certify I ain't right I also keep bees  :rolleye:
