Hi guys.....I don't have a pic, bet here is the sound of a new call I finished today....it is radically different from any I have made previously, and is very versatile.

This call is a closed reed call...very easy to blow, extreme pitches....does great baby bunny, cottontail and woodpecker distress...

The following is a sound file from the call...this isn't a sequence, though I have no doubt it would function as one...but instead is to show some of the versatilty of the call...it is over-driven at times ( deliberately ) as it produces a "Squeal" I seem to like...

I am thinking about calling it "Cotton Candy"...it can be plastic, acrylic, wood, antler or horn...

Please let me know what you think....

Joe that is not the normal distress call and I sure do like it ! I bet that will bring in the fur cause most criitters never heard anything like that. :yoyo:

What FOXPRO do you have?? I believe mine will play wav files, which that is....but the format can be changed to MP3, if you can't get it, I will convert one and email it to you if you wish...

Boys,

I heard this call this morning.  One of the most versatile sounding and manipulable calls out there.

gee if your calling it cotton candy amybe you could make it in acrylic that is a lite blue or pink just like its name sake. i liked the sound, nice to have to throw something different at the critters around here (mainly fox). earlier when i was looking for a hand call to make grey fox in distress calls someone suggested for me to try different call and try playing them like a KAZOO and this type call looks/sounds like fun.

Joe:   That is one great sounding call.  The high pitched part is what I like, as it seems that kind of sound is heard better on windy days.  You got a winner there.

Joe,

Great sounds.  Personally I think most of those sounds are the result of the person blowing the call.  Some people can do things like that, and then there are the rest of us.

:thumb2:  Got em!! I like the pauses in the cottontail3 sound. They aren't too long. Just long enough to gasp for enough air to squeal again. Thanks!!

i'll go along with the part of THE SOUNDS ARE MOSTLY COMEING FROM THE PERSON BLOWING THE CALL; with the bird trills and all it wouldnt suprise me to have a coon comeing in.
