Finished making this one today. It's a Spalted Hackberry barrel with an o-ring fitted antler toneboard. This is my first with inclusions on the toneboard. I put the Hackberry in a vacuum chamber with minwax wood hardener 3 times. I'll have to say it does work. Very hard to work with, hard to cut and hard to sand. I thought Coco filled sandpaper, it has nothing on the resin in the wood hardener. I let the hardener dry for several days between dunkings. I'm happy with the end result though. I'm asking $30 TYD for this one. I attatched a sound clip under the pics.
SOLD Thank you for looking!

Very nice.  :congrats: Did the stabilizer change the color of the wood at all?

Brad,
That looks really good put together, the inclusions on the antler really match the call body well. :eyebrow:  Folks I have to tell you from my experiences with "Yotehntr" that he makes some mean sounding calls that fit the hand well, sound good and backs his work like others and then some. :yoyo:  Todd, smack me if I am out of line in saying that we are both "VERY SATISFIED" with Yotehntr and his calls.  :innocentwhistle: Don't take our word for it though, find out for yourself and grab a call or two from him, you won't be disappointed!

Thanks guy's! Had to run out to the shop and get the first to compare, the minwax did make a slight difference. It is a little darker than the first one. It sure made the spalted wood tuff though. Not sure what to compare it to. I think I'll look for something else to use next time. I'm happy with the end result.... but it took along time to get there! I think I doubled my time on this one.

QuoteTodd, smack me if I am out of line in saying that we are both "VERY SATISFIED" with Yotehntr and his calls.

I'm only smack'n ya if it bumps me up in the line again.  :innocentwhistle:

But no, your right on. I like all my predator calls, but like everything else I have my favorites, and now Brads calls are one of them.  I couldn't find a flaw in either of the two I have, if I wanted too. Very nice quality and craftsmanship, and Brad himself, has the pride in his work and the qualities that reminds of some of the current top spinners in the hobby.

I yet to get a wooden tone board call, but I can tell ya the antler ones I have are extremely nice, and the sounds I get from them are perty darn nice, to include the snow shoe hare I've been working on.

Brad ya do great work, so please keep it up, and Dave don't you need to start saving for a collage education.  :innocentwhistle:
