Have ya ever wondered if g'hogs are out at night.  :wo:
Well, I have. Ever since two of my brother-in-laws, at the time, & I were out camping & my dog started raising a fuss over by a fence line.  We get over to him & he has a g'hog bayed.  Cool ! And if I remember right I believe it was around 11:pm.
Last night I finished up on Afternoons (11:pmish) & was leaving the mill when I saw what I thought was a road kill, but then it moved.  :shck:   Here it was a g'hog along side the road ...  alive.

I was just curious if anyone else has had g'hog encounters of the late night kind?

Hmmmmm, can't say I ever had a ghog encounter at night before.

However one time I was pred calling along a creek and had a beaver that was about to chew on my leg.

I wonder just how active ghogs are at night??

YES, groundhogs will come out at night. If they are pressured a lot by predators and hunters they will stay in the hole all day and come out after dark. When I worked at the railroad we would see them in the rail yard all hours of the night.

I've wondered that too W W. I'd see activity around a den, but could never catch the g'hog out.  :wo:

Ya know, maybe that's the problem at some of my farms. I know they're there their area has sign.  I bet the little buck toothed bass turds have gone nocturnal on me! :mad3:

Al: G'hogs that climb trees; die in trees!

If I danced like you Jimbo I'd be scared to go out at night too!  :noway:
