Just returned from my forced socialization, Colorado sure has changed.  It is like one large city from Ft Collins to Colorado Springs. Good to see family, better to leave.  Thanks to all for the comments on my stories, they are appreciated, glad I can bring a little of Alaska to all of you.

John, glad to see you back on the scene, and all in one piece.  I can really relate to your comments about how Colorado has changed. In 1972, two friends and I passed through Colorado on our way to Dragerton, Utah on a mule deer bow hunt at the famous Wilcox Range Valley Ranch, and made another trip later on to bow hunt with John Lamicq, a real good guide, in the Roan Creek drainage near Debeque, Colorado.  It was like passing through heaven back then, but you could see the changes coming, especially if you flew over the area during the next ten years.  They had a big article in the Lexington, Ky. newspaper about two years ago about Waldo Wilcox selling all that fabulous land in Utah to some kind of a state preserve society, which guaranteed that it stay undeveloped and in its current form.  Lots of Indian burial grounds on that land.   Hopefully, that beautiful country will remain unchanged. "Progress" sure has its price on people like us.  :pout:
