Strange outing....

My wife and I went for a drive to take photos of whatever and.....
We saw some turkeys

then we got to my buddies farm and the gate was open so I closed it

the bilding on the left.........right beside it is where we parked the truck to close the gate when we had a visitor....

This thing was wearing a band on each leg and would not leave me alone.....
It would fly up and then come back...

Then it took a crap on the truck while I was talking to it and flew away

It flew back and fourth to the truck three or four times like this

It was strange.

I did a search on the numbers and I think it is a racing pigeon.......But I cant find the right band # to see where it is from.

I was trying to but he would stay just far enough away, I coulnt and the camera made him walk farther away.

That's pretty cool Al. I had one sitting on my doorstep when I got home a bunch of years back. He kinda adopted me for the night and spent most of it sitting on a shotgun barrel on my kitchen sink.

I talked to a guy at a pigeon club today that said the bird is probably from DC and it is a race bird and to just wait and see if he goes on his way.
