I'm not spamming here Jimbo...CB223 wanted to see some of the different woods I've been using and I thought everybody would like to check them out...

First is a selection of turkey strikers...top to bottom - Zebrawood, Osage, Bloodwood, Birdseye Maple, Purpleheart, Black Walnut, Cocobolo.

The rest are duck calls I've been working on for a show this weekend... Each one has an African Blackwood stopper accept for the cocobolo.

Figured Cocobolo -

Steve, you make them single reeds or doubles ?   Have you been working on any woodie calls   :eyebrow:  ?

Coulter

Thank you sirs...I don't get around to posting many pics anymore. It just gets to stinking busy around here. I'll try to post some more in the future for ya Jimmy.

Chad - I have a few other species of wood that I've been using as well. I have some Australian Myrtle Burl that is gonna look sweet...but it the piece is soaking wet. It will be a while before it is dry enough to turn.

Vic...I've been thinking abourt the woody calls...does that count? :wo: I haven't been able to slow down enough to get one into a design yet. The calls above are all single reed. I am considering making my other duick into a double reed though. I will be testing that tonight and seeing how it works out. I'll have pics posted in a day or two of some donation calls for a local duck club.
