As I'm sure you know, our server went down for over an hour tonight.
Were getting reports of big numbers coming from the Fins and Fur TopSites list. Which leads me to believe it either got hacked or more probable, someone using a macro and most likely a proxy server is running scripts to heighten their rankings on the list.

Folks at the Data Center are looking into the cause.

Yeah, I noticed.  I figured sumpthin' was up.  Maybe a DNS attack.   I'd like to have a come-to-Jesus talk with those hackers.

Nine times out of ten, they come from third world countries.
But I'm still real curious to see what my guard dogs come up with.

whats more rankings exactly get you ?  anotherwards, is it worth it to the person to tempt fate ?

Higher rankings in a Top Sites list draws more traffic to your site, in the right Top Sites and it become targeted traffic.

Mr. Jim, I thought it was maybe a server glitch. 
I was not able to get onto FnF, Eastern Coyotes or Southeastern Coyotes last night. All using the same server?  FireFox error message : Server not found. No problem getting onto Hunting Nut, Hunt Masters or Sexy Hunting Ladies.com ( )

Well, yeah it was our server, and so all those other sites would have been effected on our server. It's still not 100 percent and it's really starting to pi$$ me off.

I noticed that last night too. I was doing all sorts of shit to my computer trying to fix the problem and then all of a sudden things were back. I was just about ready to talk to Jim. I got a lot of things cleaned up that I had been putting off though. I was thinking I might have to take my computer in and have someone work on it. Everything is fine now.
