I bought a Swift Premier 4-12X40AO Model #676 4 years ago for my CZ American 221 Fireball. When I got it out for groundhoggin this summer I found it was foggy on 12x & at times it was even foggy on 8 & 10x. The AO showed 20yds when I knew I was shooting 100yd targets. The power ring had gotten about twice as stiff to turn as when it was new also. Altho it still magnified smoothly when I went up or down thru the power. So I called the Swift Co on July 2, 2009 & they gave me an invoicing number to write on the package. I sent it in that afternoon & the wait began. I was told their service department would “get on it right away upon receiving it” & that I could expect it back quickly. No time frame was given otherwise.

Here it is, Friday July 10th. It’s a blue sky 85* day & I got done working at 1 PM. When I got home There was a brown box on the table. And it had a Swift Sport Optics label on it!! It only took 8 days to ship, repair,& return from Ohio to Colorado. It appears to be very clear on all settings now & I need to mount it & take it to the range. Look out groundhogs!! The FireBall is back!!

I really like this scope & I think there is a 4-12x40AO in my HMR's future.  :yoyo:

I have a Swift Premier 2x7 on my AMT semi-auto .22 mag. I bought the scope because of the listed FOV. It had the widest FOV @ 2x of any scope I could find in that price range. I like the scope and think for the money it cant be beat.

I have a 2 x 7 Swift on my Savage 110 50 cal. muzzleloader. It has stood up well to the recoil, driving a 300gr. bullet at very close to 2100 fps. The scope is clear with a good FOV. The only possible problem is that the Adustments are not true to to either 1/4 or 1/2 MOA, but inbetween. However, this hasn't affected the ability to hold zero, just a little harder to zero in.
