todays hunt

    I didn't leave for Montana like I wanted to, truck broke down, firing on 4 out of 6 cylinders. The mechanic said it wasn't advisable to travel that far. So I went hunting instead. this was my first set up with the new call, nothing came in.

On my second set I was about to leave and a grey fox crossed the road at the top of the pit. I turned the call back on and he cam right in below the caller and I was able to hit him.

      First post with pitchers took about an hour to get there top pit. is a little large

Good story in very good time I think   I like the pic's [except I can't see the top one] and for you to see that fox is amazing as it's the same color as the brush.  Thank's.

Nice job! That looks like some wicked stuff to hunt in with it being so low and thick like that.

      That area is extremely thick. You sometimes get lucky and they walk down the road, but most of the time they just run from one side to the other.  There are some open areas but the thicker holds more critters, I don't get as many shots but I get to see more critters. Going to head out and try to call in some more.

Nice fox nor-cal. That looks like it would be tough to hunt.  Next time you pop a predator check this thread out.
