I posted this in another thread, but its kind of buried at the bottom and I'm not sure everyone concerned was seeing it, so here it is again:

I got this email this afternoon. It seems the squeaky wheel really does get the grease!

Re.: Wranglers Campground reservations

To be fair to everyone who may want to reserve a cabin in January and February in Wranglers, we have set a date when you can call to make a cabin reservation.    Beginning December 15, 2008 , you can call Wanda Crump at 270-924-2044 to make cabin reservations at Wranglers for January and February only.  She is available Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM  to 4:00 PM CST for cabins until March 1, 2009 when we will implement  the new reservation system.  Let me know if you have any questions    Gary

This is what we have as of 11:45PM on 01/23/09:

Jimmie in KY takes A-2 and CCP takes A-3. We use those two cabins as our rallying point to meet up in the evenings. It's these guys helping to put things together to make this an enjoyable outing. And with them together in the 2 front cabins our activities won't be spread out around the campground.

This is a link to a map of the Wranglers Campground: http://www.lbl.org/08WranglersMap.pdf

The cabins are kind of along the right side in the areas labeled "A" and "B". They are the little house shapes in the black squares with an L or S inside (to denote large or small) There are seven large and five small cabins (see the list above)

Hey guys...I am going...right now there is a total of 5 of us going but I'll probably get two more.  I guess I'll need a large cabin with electric and sewer (atleast electric).  Which one should I get?

B-1 or B-23 are large cabins.

KY23

At least in the map above neither B1 or B23 are listed as having electric.

Area "B"
B 2-9 Electric, Water, & Sewer
B 11 & 12 Electric, Water, & Sewer
B 13 & 14 Electric & Water
B 17-21 & 24-30 Electric

weedwalker

I don't know.  Ask when you get reservations I guess.

Jimmie in Ky

Cabins have electric only. Camper hookups have all 3 if you choose them well. Jimmie

topdawg

as of now with the list above is there any one that is going to need another person or two to fill a cabin  if so i would like to share a cabin
my goal: do as much as I can, as fast as I can, for as long as I can, and at the end of the day if I'm not satisfied I will be to wore out to care

coyote101

Today is the day to start making cabin reservations. I called and got A25 from Wednesday, February 4th thru Saturday the 7th. If you let me know when you get one and if you have any available beds, I'll update the post above.  Be sure and thank the folks at LBL for accommodating us.

I reserved B-15 arriving Tuesday evening Feb. 3 planning to leave Sunday Feb. 8.    Really looking forward to it!!  Our group is kind of spread out from PA, OH and WV so I don't know for sure at this time if we will have any spots left???

Jim
You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

KySongDog

I got A-24 for Feb 3 - 8th.

It is a small cabin and I think I have guys lined up.   But who knows by the time February rolls around.  :nono:

I spoke to the lady at LBL today. They still have one large and one small cabin available the week of the hunt.

KY23

Now they only have a small cabin...I was able to get the last large. I think she said it was B23.

Jimmie in Ky

And according to kycrat we are full up gentlemen.  :yoyo: This is the first time we have filled all th cabins available. She is the biggest one yet.  I have been dreaming of this since we started it all those years ago. Hunters coming together to share knowledge and enjoy each others company. Sharing the good in life is what we are about and it feels damned good. :eyebrownod: Jimmie

topdawg

so with all of the cabins rented is there anyone that has a few beds empty

Frogman

Wow!!
That's great!  There will prolly be a few staying in motels and mayby some in RVs.  I'm sure looking forward to it.

I have a large cabin and 5 guys that say they are going.  Only one of them is for sure.  If we run out of beds I do have an RV I could bring and give my cabin up to others that need it.

KY23

Hey guys...we are trying to decide right now if we are going or not.  If not I need to cancel my reservations which would open my cabin up for someone.  We were hit pretty hard by the ice storm.  I have a tree on my house with roof damage and trees down all over my property.

Still trying to decide but I may have to cancel to get this mess cleaned up.

Wish I was there to help ya! .......Prayers sent.....
