I took my dad today to Lake Blalock and we caught about a 100 crappie. Unfortunately I left the camera at home. We kept 45 that were 8-10". We caught a lot of little ones. We caught them around a covered boat dock in 15' of water. We used minnows and jigs. It did not matter if you put it in there they ate it. Everytime!
It was a good day. I filleted all the fish and sent them home with my dad. He was thrilled. Probably one of the best days fishing with my dad since I was a kid.
Water temp started at 60 degrees and was at 64 by 12pm. Water Clarity was stained to muddy. Blue bird skies, no clouds at all.

My uncle went crappie fishing in Burnsville Lake (here in WV) this weekend.  He caught quite a few but none had any size.

I caught a few crappies the other day. They are not real active yet. Water temperature still cold but they could turn on any time. I check a few spots out every day. Caught 8 about 5 days ago. went back the next day and nothing. Our weather has been so unstable. A couple more days like today and they will turn on. Supposed to be in the 80's Thursday. Just waiting patiently .  OH , I almost forgot. Nice catch!!!
