GENETIC SELECTION?

Heres something i read somewheres....the toms that gobble the loudest and the most are the ones that get shot....therefore following that line of thinking...the gobblers who r quietest survive to breed....and...will that not lead someday through natural selection...to a gobbler who doesnt gobble at all?.... .....makes sense to me.

I thought that the toms that gobble the most are usually two year old birds.       I never thought about genetics.  Might be something to it though.

I think the most active gobblers are the ones without hens. That's why the big ol Tom's don't gobble as much. They just don't need to.   Of course this is just my UN scientific thoughts on this subject. It does pose a bit of thought tho.
