Can someone tell me what the remington 700 sps are like

I can tell you about the one I recently purchased. It is a stainless in 300 Ultra mag. I tinkered it a bit, and it shoots fantastic! Kicks like two mules, but it will put 5 shots in a group the size of a dime. As for the tinkering, I fire lapped it right off the bat. Then had a smithy friend of mine work the trigger down to 2 lbs. Lined up and lapped the rings and filled them with a VXIII 4.5X - 14X. They were double dovetail rings and bases that I JB welded together once they were lined up. Then they were lapped. It is light and accurate, just what I was looking for. For the $475.00 I paid for it, I feel it is a good value. If you don't mind tinkering a bit. Hope this was some help,R.J.
