A friendly word of advise... Never walk directly behind anyone that "hates" snakes. There's a very high probability that, should they unexpectedly have a reptile encounter,  you'll get run over.   :roflmao:

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

I knew it!! Me , Vic, and Chet are the only ones with good sense on this board. Why buy rat traps when nature provides them. All ya gotta do is give them a bit of room and they will move on.

And Chet, I know all about them folks with reptile disfunction. Feller didn't even see the cottonmouth. I just told him to watch out for it while he got his fishing arrow back . He was laying down over te bow of the boat, and next thing I knew I had to peel him off my ears. I fon't mind given piggy back rides to youngin's , but a grown man is rediculous . I aint shure but I don't think he touched any part of that 14 foot boat from the front deck to riding my back. Needless to say I kept him shooting along clear banks the rest of the day.  I don't mind jumping out of a boat but odds were pretty good he would have nocked me out of it if he saw a snake of any kind. In my early years I used to kill snakes when ever I bumped in to them.  Now I just move on and they move on.  I even try to avoid hitting them on the road.  There's a black snake that hangs out around my shed.  I see him every once in a while.  I've found his old skin so I think he's still around.

im getting soft in my old age( not tween the ears either Al, ya smartazz :iroll: )

i saw a huge black snake today probably near 5 ft long. it was crossing the rod. i stopped beside it, looked at it, and debated on backing up and running it over BUT i let it go, mainly because it was a couple miles from the house.

i dont know what a snakes range is but hopefully it int that far cause if i see him round here hes a goner, lol

FinsnFur

I think I woulda backed up and run him over. :innocentwhistle:

...and then got him again after going back the direction I was originally heading.

...and then backup up one more time for assurance.

And then since I'm going the other way again anyway....... :eyebrownod:
