Hey James, I think you shot ok, the coyote might have been pumped up and the adrenaline got him out of there. I cant wait to shoot the 2 guns I just got, I think the 223 and the 17 will kill a few critters. Keep calling them in and driving the lead home, we need more coyotes and foxes dead so the rabbit population will grow. Hang in there, Tom

don't bet on it bop, I use to hunt these small deer here in wv with a 350 rem mag, never knocked one off his feet with it, let alone DRT, to much bullet and not enough resistance in the game to even initialise partial expansion, want DRT yotes, in an AR, try an AR-15 in 243 wssm and 58 gr v-max's.
