Lion Kill

I didn't take this picture, but it was supposedly taken not to far from our place.  Don't know if you can tell or not but this is a good sized buck for Arizona. We have a doe that comes in for water that has a shredded ear and scar marks down her front shoulder and rear rump.  She was a bit luckier than this buck.

With all of those illegals and cougars running around out there I can understand why you do yard work packing a 1911.   

Around here we only have to worry about the dope addicts and meth cookers.

Great picture and comments, John P.  That buck looks like it has a good rack, and I love that dark color.  The lion looks like a pretty good size to me.  Keep the pictures and stories coming!

Can't tell if this is the same lion or not.  Nor do we know if this is a female with a grown cub, or a female in season.  You can tell that they did consume a good portion of the deer in a short period of time.  I have one of a ringtail cat that I'll post  --  once I find it.
