That LC9 looks a whole lot like a Kel Tec PF-9. The PF-9 weighs only 12.7 ounces unloaded. I think that is going to be my next buy.

Good eye Semp. The LC9 is a Ruger copy of it. I just found that out yesterday when I paid for it. The dealer is getting 2 K-T 9's & the LC9 on Monday & he wants to compare them closely before I leave with mine.

I don't know what the LC9 is going for, but my favorite gun shop sells the KT PF-9 for $240. (when they have them. They sell pretty fast)

I have looked at the PMR-30 several times (online) and would like to get my hands on one to see how it does. It just looks plain cool and a 30 round mag sounds insane. If it was stoked full of The Hornady "Critical Defense" ammunition and cycled correctly it would be one heck of a "clear the hall way" pistol.

I was gonna buy one of these just cause I think there cool as hell! But their is a huge wait time on em and the mfg is still having to work some bugs out and sides that!!! The guy up the street wants 525.00 at his shop

I'll be waiting till the price drops a bit!

I believe the revolver is handsdown the most reliable way to go. Six shots and if the bad guy aint running by then use it as a hammer. But I like the semi auto 9mm guns as well. The 9mm round is not as bad as everyone thinks. I know I don't want to get shot with one.

Those backwards wad cutters are pretty wicked looking. That .22mag pistol is pretty cool as well.

She's out in the safe right now.

I picked up a box of 115gr JHP's for her @ Gander Mtn while working today too. It's all cleaned up & wiped down with some light oil. Get the pics tomorrow & hopefully some range pics too. It fit's my hand nicely so I know Diane will have no trouble with it. I didn't get to compare it side by side with the Kel-Tech but the dealer said they were very close with just a couple small differences in favor of the Ruger LC9 making it in his opinion a better gun. We'll see what she likes & I'll report my findings IMHO both good & bad.

Last night we heard more noises from the front porch. I'm hoping to NEVER have to use this rig for anything but fun but we've talked about it & I am prepared to defend Diane & what we've worked for.

My nephew picked up the Kel-Tec PF-9. It's light and compact, holds 7+1 of 9mm and has attention getting recoil. I had originally ordered the PF-9, but they were/are extremely hard to get. I bought a Kel-Tec P11 instead. It's only a couple ounces heavier, .8 inch thicker and holds 12+1 rounds of 9mm. There is less felt recoil than the PF-9 too. It just fits my hand better. Price was the same for both pistols.

I looked at the Ruger LC9, but the magazine disconnect is a deal stopper for me. There's no need for it.

For me the disconnect is right "there" & it fits real good. It takes a minimal amount of force to depress it which I think is good. It won't accidentally get bumped & drop out I think.

I'll look up those kydex holsters too.

Sent 35rds down range this afternoon. Then the rain hit again.

Didn't start off too good but I did get better as the rd count went up. All 35rds were inside of a sheet of paper about 12"x14". As I went along I got more in the center of the paper than I had around the edges.

It was a lot of fun to shoot even tho I didn't realize there would be that much recoil. But after the 1st clip things sure got better. No FTF's, jams,stove pipes, or anything bad happening so all in all I would say it was a good day at the range. All shots were at 10yds as well.

It definitely takes some practice. I'm glad you got out with it. They can be a lot of fun
