We have a ton of RF ammo around here but the CB Caps are hard to come by. Might end up with the next best thing. I'm not ready to order ammo online yet.  :nono:

Glen,

If you haven't got your ammunition by now it might be too late.  I thought that I had better get some of the .22 ammo for the kids shoots this year and everything is out of stock.

Reloading Brass is getting scarce on lots of calibers most all of online suppliers say out of stock. Kind of like Primers a few years back. cc

We're not too bad on ammo Jerry. Wish we were better stocked but we're not. Time to be frugal. With Diane shooting there's not much problem of wasted ammo tho.

Glen,

We have some that the club owns, but will go through about 30 boxes (of 500) at the youth shoots for the year.  All the decent priced supplies are showing none of the "cheep" stuff in stock.  The cheapest that most places have is around $8/100 rather than $25/500.  $1,200 compared to $750 is worth waiting.  I will just keep checking and as soon as I see it as being back in stock I will get some ordered.  Now if they can just get it in and I get my order in before something drastic happens in Washington.  I have fears of my name ending up on a US terrorist watch list for purchasing too many .22LR rounds.  You know they could be used in a high capacity clip or magazine.

It's hit/miss around here too. the prices are only up pennies on a box of 50 so it's like 25-30 cents on a brick. For now that is. Hope you find a deal on it somewhere. I'm not fond of online ammo orders for just that reason tho i may have to bite the bullet & go for it.

Jim,

I was just on CCI site and they have a new .22LR that they are listing as a Quiet 22.  If you go to their listing of products:  http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/products.aspx   and then go down to low/noise/speciality you can compare the CB long, CB, and Quiet 22.  The muzzle velocity of all three is the same - 710.  Would lead me to believe that all three have the same powder or lack of powder in them.  There is a difference in the foot pounds of energy due to the difference in bullet weight.  The extra weight of the Quiet 22 might help bring down the terrorist animals or whatever it is that you are looking to quietly dispense.  I may have to try to find some of the Quiet 22 since it is in the LR and might feed better through a clip should I need it.

75% reduction in perceived noise of standard velocity .22 LR
Noise levels similar to an air rifle

Very interesting
