Here in central Missouri I never take A shot over 300yrds. Most ain't over 200. And in the cost of ammo, and it was my most logical choice. If I can't live with bulk stuff, Hornady has the 40 GR V-MAX or Moly 40's(same price) that shoot 3800fps muzzle, and -5.5 @300 w/ 200yd zero.
Don't get me wrong I love the .204, and my 8yo is saving up for one as we speak. She even dropped the plans for an ipod thinking she'll get MORE use out of her new predator rifle. Gotta love her! ~KT

Do you have a website or something I could check out. I really hadn't even considered Rock River Arms.......not sure why.

I have been leaning towards a Bushmaster, but after reading this thread.......well.....

let's just say I am reconsidering.

I Bought a Bushmaster Predator and i LOVE IT!!! its a 1-8" twist and it shoots all bullets from 50 Grn up to the
Black Hills 69 Grn Sierra match grade Hollow Points,,it LOVES the 69 Grn Black hills but DAMN that ammo is getting hard to come by,i bought 100 rounds BUT shot all but 40 of them up,,so i bought 1000 rounds of some "other" stuff for playing

I havent tried anything smaller than 50 grns in it yet but another guy that has the Predator shoots nothing but 40 grns and he says it is accurate as hell
well MY Predator is accurate as hell to if i do my part,,i liked the 20" Barrel on the Predator,,but with all the "bullshit" bans coming at us now i think i will get 3 more,, and 2 in different calibers,,25wssm 204 and another in 223 but 16" barrel,,NOW if i can get the wife to go along with the,,,but honey WE need to buy these Rifles NOW because they will be OUTLAWED here soon and WE wont be able to buy an AR-15 for you then

i will let you know if it worked

But anyone buying the AR Platform WILL LIKE IT!

I wonder if an AR with 3 times the power of the old 45ACP Tommy gun is wanted. Or, has the boys from the Harvard business school, thought of a new way to separate us from our money. Nevertheless, the 450 Bushmaster and RRA 458 SOCOM are here.

I just think of it as A pissing contest. We'll see who can hit the ceiling. The 450 & 458 would be something I'd kept next to my bed at night. But what fun would 9 shots be compared to 30? For the price of ammo I just don't see me having fun with them.
For now I'll stay mainstream. ~KT
