My 13-year-old nephew hooked a fish in his kayak on the Wild Ammonoosuc River in a section that is really deep and rocky using a nightcrawler as bait. Did not land or see the fish but whatever it was it was big enough to pull his kayak upstream against the current in the river. That area is known for some enormous pike and brown trout but no clue what it was. The kid was pretty wound up ha ha.
