Some pretty good sized ones there.  I sure loved to catch small mouth back in my day.  My favorite of the fish available where I grew up.   

In those days we ate every one we caught.    I'd have thought someone was weird if he released a fish.

I have eaten them before. Many years ago. I mean I had to try it, right?
It's definitely not the most coveted fish for food.
I do know people that still eat them. It's just not for me though.
Kinda like carrots. I'll help ya harvest them if you want, but I'm not eating those things either.

But I will say...if the shit ever REALLY hits the fan. I definitely would have no problem rounding up some food.
