All jokes aside, we can learn a LOT about wild turkeys from tame ones.  I grew up raising turkeys, and like many a farm boy, entertained myself by watching and immitating animal behaviors and sounds.  I learned to push any tom turkey's anger buttons, get him to strut and cuss me, etc.

  I have never hunted turkeys, so take the following as you wish.  In Wyoming wild turkeys in the spring would respond exactly like tame turkeys do to my sounds and body language. My wife thought that it was hilarious to see a wild tom minding its own business in the woods, and watch it get mad, turn red, gobble and strut around our vehicle, etc.

I'd sure like to hunt turkey but probably never will now.
