After getting Cortisone injections every three months for about five years they ceased providing much relief while holding my cameras. So, I went ahead with my thumb surgery yesterday morning. A little over an hour and I have had some bone removed, build up scraped, tendons and muscles rearranged, and pinned down. Now I get to try not to move it or break anything loose in the next six to eight weeks. I never realized how much I used that hand till now. The nerve block has worn off, and Oxycodone is my new best friend. Maybe it is my second best friend to nurse Becky ❤️ who is my working second hand.

Yikes! Glad they can fix it.

Whatever you do, don't use it too soon and damage it before it heals.  That's the most obvious thing to say but I and a few others here have NOT waited for full healing after surgery, especially on hands and arms, and damaged ourselves long term.

Yah that doesnt look fun.
So is that carpel tunnel? or?
On the bright side, it sounds like you got the best bed side assistant money cant buy.
Hopefully you have a speedy recovery
