Unless the federal government appeals it and wins this basically means you can go and buy a silencer and all you have to do is get a background check the same as if you were buying a gun. No more tax stamp or registration and fingerprints and photograph and all that bullshit.

However there are still some states that the above mentioned items will remain illegal to own, and some other states you will still have to go through the process like before.

Fortunately I live in one of the states where you won't have to.

The same ruling also covered short barrel shotguns and rifles.

I have wanted to put a silencer on my .22 rifle for years but refused to pay the tax stamp and go through all the bullshit to get one. If this ruling holds up I'm going shopping baby  :yoyo:  :biggrin:
