Run Leroy, Runnnnnn!

So I'm sitting on the porch outside bonding with Leroy the Logger, my youngest brother. He's on the passenger side of my vehicle leaning on the hood chattering up a storm with his vehicle behind him.

His vehicle is black so I had a good backdrop and I noticed a whole bunch of movement so I looked closer and right behind him as a huge cloud of hornets swarming all over.

I said holy shit Leroy run!. he says what?. I said look behind you, he turns around and there's a cloud of big huge hornets right on top of him.

He turns around and sprints up on the porch. Theres  hornets everywhere. I immediately beat a retreat to the house.

So he circles back around and says they built a nest in your siding.

Friggin funny when he turned around and saw the swarm of hornets😂😂🏃�♂️‍➡️🏃�♂️‍➡️🏃�♂️‍➡️🏃�♂️‍➡️🏃�♂️‍➡️

What the hell triggered em?
Well...I guess it depends on what your calling a hornet. But actual hornets typically leave ya alone unless you piss with em.
Wasps are a different story. Wasps are assholes

I think that I heard that hornets can remember faces or people's smell (or something like that) and if they don't like you they will attack whenever they recognize the face.

That can only mean one thing   Leroy got some history with these critters

He's like a magnet for Yellowjackets especially

I didnt know about the hornet face recognition thing until Jerry brought it up. I had to look it up. 
But yesterday at work I found a hornet nest up under one of the hitches on a frame we used for hauling modular homes.
The hornet were those big yellow and brown bastards that hang their long ass legs down when in flight. They love trailer fenders and tiny hot holes. The nest had to be a foot long and I could easily see 50 plus hornets. No idea what was underneath where the actual nest was.
ANYwayyyyyy...I had to get rid of them and couldnt stop thinking about what Jerry said and the info I learned on Google.
I was gonna put on my raincoat so they wouldnt recognize me, I mean my mind was really racing lol. But it was 1000 degrees out there. The rain coat was not happening.

Short story long...I got em with a can of spray. Only one hornet made it out in time to see me. He came at me but buzzed past and I got the hell outta dodge.
